Oscilla is a surrealist fantasy game I designed about a young girl named Oscilla who finds a magical talking mask. She and this mask team up to find her father, who has been missing for some time. The mask speaks to Oscilla through visual typography in the game. The words become a physical object in the space, so that she can use letters to solve puzzles and interact with others. Oscilla can steal traits from other characters using the mask, like Laziness or Strength, and each trait has it’s good sides and bad sides. But the more she uses the mask, the more it changes her... she must find her father before she loses herself entirely.
